Production Notes - This Marble line is a very special technique. It is made from TWO types of clay, one of which I dye BLUE and carefully blend it with my WHITE clay. I simply layer it to keep each color distinct and not mixed when I throw the vase and pull it up into shape.
I then clear coat glaze the vase to let just the clay colors show through, no other colors are added. The result is these unique colored swirls, each vase is a one of a kind. Look for more of this special blended marble vases in the future.
Items I create are hand-thrown pottery from clay on a wheel in my studio or occasionally hand-formed flat pieces. All are original and one-of-a-kind as there are no production runs of this work. Nor are the pieces dipped in glaze - they are all hand painted with multiple clear coats to achieve a rich dimensional glaze look.
The process is highly laborious, but I love the simple, whimsical and unique look of every piece. I am constantly experimenting with color combinations, design concepts and ultimately the actual use of these pieces for my friends and customers. Yes, we absolutely do commission work as per your wishes. We recently created a full set of wedding vases with monogram letters of the bride and groom. On these items, pre-payment is required.

Are your items safe for food and dishwasher approved.
Yes, our glazes are food safe and the heat and water of a dishwasher will not affect my pottery. They are also microwave and oven safe.
