Another great Ikebana vase, this one has a classic flat top and really incredible colors on the crystals against a colbalt blue background This vase is only 3.25" tall but is 8.75" wide. The center recess holds a 2.5" Kenzan or frog. An amazing amount of crystals adorn both front and back and even inside the vase.
About Our Process:
Production Notes - Elegant, precious and one of a kind, the crystal process is difficult, with a high failure rate but the vases are so incredible and beautiful that I cannot help but to create more! Each crystal is similar to ice crystals that form on a winter window - you cannot predict or control them. If you are looking for something special - You found it with this line of rich colors and beautiful crystals.
Items I create are hand-thrown pottery from clay on a wheel in my studio or occasionally hand-formed flat pieces. All are original and one-of-a-kind as there are no production runs of this work. Nor are the pieces dipped in glaze - they are all hand painted with multiple coats to achieve a rich dimensional glaze look. All items are fired in our own kilns twice - a bisque and the final glaze high temperature 2,300+ degree firing.
